David Beckham was bestowed with a honorary title at the historic royal residence on the weekday. The ex-national team leader, 50, was one of the individuals receiving awards for his contributions to athletics and charity. In recent months, he expressed he was “extremely honored” of being acknowledged in the King’s birthday honours.

Football Career Highlights

The player made his Premier League debut for Manchester United in the mid-nineties and was part of the team that secured a thrilling European Cup win in 1999 when they beat the German giants with two late goals.

Overall, he scored eighty-five scores and collected honours including multiple English championships and domestic cup wins as a footballer, before ending his playing career in the past decade. Alongside his football career, he has backed a variety of philanthropic initiatives, including serving as a charitable representative for global aid group Unicef since 2005.

Last year, the sports star, who has described himself as a “devoted monarchist”, was appointed an official representative for the royal educational charity, an educational charity established by the monarch in the early nineties. In 1998 he was declared top fashion icon by GQ magazine and he has posed for brands like the fashion retailer, Armani, and Boss.

David married his wife Victoria in the turn of the millennium and the pair have four children together – Brooklyn, the second son, the third child, and their daughter.
